“The purpose of life is the expansion of happiness. Happiness is the goal of every other goal.” — Deepak Chopra
It’s not uncommon when I ask someone, “How have you been lately?” that I they respond, “busy!”
We live in a cultural that has made “busy” into a status symbol.
Busy seems to equal importance and success, but often feels like stress and overwhelm.
Is stress and overwhelm really want we’re after?
I don’t think so.
I think it’s a longing to feel worthy and joyful.
We just call it success.
The challenge with chasing after “success” through busyness is that it doesn’t lead to joy. Instead, it can feel like a really busy, never-ending chase.
The month’s issue of Ease Magazine is dedicated to the end-goal: JOY. In the main article, “5 Steps to Tidy Your Mind + Spark More Joy,” I write about clearing limiting beliefs can spark more joy in your life.
The other sections are filled with what has sparked JOY for me, from an easy weeknight recipe to a conversation between Neale Donald Walsh and Eckhart Tolle that had me laughing.
I hope that this issue of Ease Magazine brings you a little bit more ease and joy.
