Why I created this space, and why it's for you.
Feb 21, 2024
In a session last week, I was talking to a leader who is feeling grief for the reorg she just led. After that, I coached a woman who was feeling like a failure for not keeping up with her work, childcare, and all of the things on her desk.
They both wondered if it’s ever enough. And they both feel the pull toward something deeper in their life, even if they don’t always say it.
When coaching, there’s often a lot that I don’t get to say in the time we have together. Stories to share, ideas that might help, and tools to try on their own.
This is where I say the rest.
I’m Sarah Papp, Master Certified Coach. I’ve spent over 14 years sitting with people in the hard and most pivotal moments of their lives and careers. I’ve heard the stories people don’t say out loud in polished rooms.
And what I’ve learned is this: who you believe yourself to be changes everything. How you lead. How you live. What you allow yourself to reach for.
Every week, I write about identity, leadership, and soul. This is writing intended to make you stop and think, and sometimes text it to a friend. Tools you can use. Ideas that shift something. The practical and the mysterious are together, because you don’t have to choose.
You can tune into your intuition and walk into the boardroom. You can be both rigorous and wildly open.
That’s what this space is for.
Before you dive in, here are four pieces that will tell you who I am and what we do here:
If you want to understand how identity shapes everything: The Real You Is Waiting — You don’t need fixing. You need remembering.
If you want to see the leadership and identity work in action: Your Title Is Not Your Ceiling — On Brunelleschi, borrowed stories, and what you’re actually capable of building.
If you want to know what it means to be spiritual and furious at the same time: The Wisdom of Rage — On rage, the sacred warrior, and what your anger is actually trying to tell you.
If you want to feel something: Fold, Don’t Stir — On my mother’s dementia, a kitchen in Tuscany, and what gets passed down whether we mean it to or not.
Subscribe if you want more of this in your inbox every week. It’s free to start.
If you want to go deeper, upgrade to a paid subscription for access to monthly live sessions and exclusive content.
And if you’re ready to do the work right now, I created A Return to Self, seven modules of identity work built for the woman who is ready to stop living as who she’s been told to be. Your pace, your terms, lifetime access. $297.
Welcome to Radically Alive, Deeply at Ease.
